Lies & Liars
Big, Little, Black & White
I’m finding that many people I converse with…either face to face or somewhere on line are at a point that they believe “all politicians lie” and somehow any lie of any size is “equal” and that you can’t trust any of the media. They all have agendas. There’s this “we’re just totally screwed” expression and feeling about this election. They don’t trust or like Trump…they don’t like what they know about Kamala…and RFK Jr is just the weirdest of the weird.
Now there’s a MAGA base that does NOT care about Lies…at least not Trump’s BIG Lie…that the election was stolen and they’ve bought into J6 was not that bad or it was a deep state hoax of some kind…there’s a LOT of lies piled up there…actually successful propaganda that proves “if you repeat the Lie often enough it becomes truth”
Somehow Kamala’s “protection” of Biden’s health and ability to run the government and be an effective POTUS for 4 more years is as big a lie to some and makes her equal to Trump…which is what team MAGA wants…because then if they are equal liars to the folks not solidly in one camp or the other, then the election comes down to the economy and the border/immigrants…Trump likes those talking points and thinks those odds are better for that horse race.
Now the FACT that Trump tried to subvert an election and wants to be absolute ruler has gotten muddied up and somewhat lost in the stew.

It’s not LOST on me, but it’s lost on them. I have not heard ANYONE talk about hanging Mike Pence lately.
In my reply to HCR’s letter this morning, I made the observation that Trump and his core people are like the political dark side of Sun Tzu.
They use every trick they can to delay, muddy up, attack, become the victim, whatever street fighters survival thing they need…to somehow make Black Lies Matter more than White Lies…to try and get back to power…and make that power absolute. To reverse our Revolution and go back to a King and his court...

Have a good weekend…it’s VERY hot here.
Peace .

I recently completed Erik Larsons "Destiny of Unrest". A recounting of the buildup to the attack on Fort Sumter. It feels very similar right now.
The liars are many and most are irredeemable. It reminds me of the attitudes of the Confederacy.
We can only hope and work towards the turnout of those who really believe in the better ideals of the nation.
We can't lose this one. The Earth is depending on us.
Ugh. You make sense.
