Some of us were lucky to have been born into families like this. Me too. My wife as well.

Soooo many are not. And they carry the scars of their parents abuse or obliviousness.

I can think of one person in particular who has been wrecked by an unloving brutal set of parents. Just ask his niece.

Great post, Mike. We should relish and appreciate the good stuff. There is a lot to be grateful for.

Most of the community that my wife has worked in for 25 years struggle with broken, dysfunctional families...where a grandparent or aunt is the loving glue. I really appreciate the time you take to reflect on my ramblings. We have a LOT to be thankful for. Enjoy the turkey and trimmings.
