Well actually, not just Vance but EVERY Republican Senator except Mitch, Lisa and Susan Collins…
The Senate confirmation vote for Pete Hegseth was a tie…and JD Vance had to show up and cast his tie braking vote…to confirm an Army Major and Fox TV weekend host (not even prime time) with tattoos and an alcohol problem as our next Sec Def…or now Sec War….and he took that to heart, except for any understanding of the rules of engagement or International Military Law.
You just don’t kill survivors in the water. It’s just not done. It’s illegal.
Saying “Kill them all” is the equivalent of the “Black Flag”, no mercy or quarter will be given to enemy “combatants”.
During the Civil War it occurred several times in the heat of battle, when white confederates were attacked by black USCT soldiers in 1864. The rebels were so enraged by the sight of their former slaves shooting at them in an organized military that the order from the commander on the field…let me say that again…ON THE FIELD, in the heat of battle was “kill them all”. Robert E. Lee did not order that, nor did Jefferson Davis.
But now we have the Secretary of war saying on the record “Kill them all”. That’s like the atrocity at Wounded Knee or Mai Lai.
Well these boat people don’t even qualify as combatants…there’s no proof at all of who or what they are.
Normally…and that word is hard to use with this administration, we interdict, search and seize…and ONLY open fire if fired upon.
Our Coast Guard does this all the time, all over the world. Just Google “Coast Guard drug interdiction”. You won’t believe the photos and stories.
Right now what the administration is doing is murder on the high seas…because there is no proof these boats carry drugs or are any kind of threat to us. They are over 1,000 miles away. These are the tactics of pirates, not legal government
Back in the 60’s JFK showed us all, why he was intending to blockade Cuba. He gave us solid evidence. Trump says we are at war with narco-terrorists and Hegseth says “kill the all” and then puts out a kids book cartoon he altered. The Canadian publisher is not happy at all about the violent use of their peaceful character.
How sick are these people ?
