I totally agree with what you said here, Mike. I've been saying this since before the election, which sadly may have been our last. I’m trying to feel pity for the fools who voted for him, but when I think about how they looked at him as their God and Savior, I have no pity. If it weren’t so terrible, I would feel amused as I read story after story of his supporters being shocked that they’re losing jobs or that prices are going up, and they can’t understand why he would do that to them. They never saw how much he did not care for them; he only cares about himself. And I am absolutely appalled by the Republicans in Congress, who are allowing him to destroy the Constitution piece by piece with Elon Musk leading the way. It is all very frustrating and disheartening.

Hi Carol. This all hard to process. Last night the MAMA concept came to me just before going to sleep...and it was there when I woke up. So I let it fly. As Trump destroys more and gathers more responsibility and power to himself, it will become harder to blame the Libs or anyone else for peoples troubles.

Mike, I’m glad you stayed with the thought. I am worried that when the Republicans realize, if they do, that they've been duped, it will be too late to salvage our country. I find it totally incomprehensible that they are all so afraid of Trump that not one person can stand up to him. They do not care about their constituents’ needs and concerns, only that they win their next election.

A whole bunch of MAGATs & Trump -- worshippers are feeling the BITTER STING of betrayal AND voter's remorse, kind of like a follower of JIM JONES OR MARSHALL APPLEWHITE after realizing that there was SOMETHING NOT QUITE RIGHT ABOUT THAT KOOL - AID OR FRUIT PUNCH that they drank a cup full of right as their vision starts getting blurry & they become dizzy & weak - kneed, falling over..... Don as NERO FOR the 21st century, content to sit idly as Rome is consumed by flames.

I wish he was sitting idly by...he continues to throw gas on the flames....I don't understand the rush they are in.

A lot of them are Evangelicals. They WANT HIM to jump - start the Apocalypse, FORCE the Second Coming, establishing the " new Heaven & new Earth ", etc. etc. Most RATIONAL, REASONABLE types see this as insane NONSENSE.

& then you have nutjobs who see him as a new Messiah figure when there's NOTHING REMOTELY " Messianic " about a failed businessman who lusts after other women, WORSHIPS PROPHET & HIMSELF & is a narcissistic selfish delusional pathetic old husk of a human being.

Thanks for writing. I don't believe it'll go that far - back to Monarchy - because I still believe (hope) that most Americans would stand up against that. But I DO think that photo of a crowned Trump is a sneaky way for Trump to test the waters...get our reaction. So, it follows that he really wants to be King Don. Yes, you heard right...King Don. Not Don King. The reality seems ridiculous as it sounds, but unless people wake up....Who ever believed that it would get THIS far?

Welcome back, Mike!

Well, it really doesn't matter what we call Orange Face. King, Fuhrer, your highness, majesty, Top Toad or General Genital Grabber. What is inevitable is that whoever occupies the White House owns everything that goes right or wrong. It is a treasured American tradition to blame EVERYTHING on the president.

When my car broke down, clearly it was Obama's fault. If I caught the flu, it must have been because Biden did something...

The focus every day has been the blizzard of EOs and firings. The results of these arbitrary decisions will not be efficiency. It will be chaos and suffering. This is a terrible novel. The publishers editor should send it back to the authors with a scathing rejection letter. Its not going to sell well.

But somebody will make the movie. The lead in to the trailer will be "See the collapse of civilization! Watch children starve! Witness preventable deaths! Actual footage of planes colliding! See tents being purchased as permanent residences! Hear screaming seniors as they storm Social Security offices! Tour nursing homes to see people rotting in place! Watch kids praise Jesus and condemn the infidels as they begin their school days! Watch boy scouts burn books!...

Dr. Strangelove meets Idiocracy on crack. The awful part has not even begun. And most of America is still just Netfix and chill. This will change and Orange Boy will own it. And millions won't admit they voted for "The Thing".

Good to hear from you Bill...please don't hold back...It's so hard to believe this has gotten this far, that there aren't enough Republican Senators to stop any of it. The GOP owns it all.

Wasn't there a comedic movie in which a bumbling working class American becomes heir to the throne in the U. K. ? I seem to recall it.

If Diaper Don is a ruler, then he's NERO OR CALIGULA. A lot of Roman rulers were looney sumbitches. China's first emperor Qin was a homicidal psycho who ingested MERCURY resulting in mental instability then DEATH, but not before killing political dissidents & scholars. Also Vlad Tepes AKA Vlad the Impaler of Romania.
