G-Burg & Freedom of the Press
I’m going to make this brief. The debate did not look the way I would have liked. I was hoping for D-Day Joe to show up. He was obviously ill. I believe his people should have postponed. Ike delayed the D-Day landing’s due to weather…NASA holds off on rocket launches…but instead the show went on. If you just read the content of the debate, Trump loses…you can’t lie for 90 minutes and win a debate…it’s not cricket. Keep that in mind.
I’m headed to Gettysburg today to scout out a shoot for July 5…and then on to Gathland to produce the annual illumination there to commemorate Maryland’s Freedom of the Press Day. With the help of some Boy Scouts & friends we will set up and light 250 candles to represent the American Journalists who have been killed while doing their jobs.
I’m going to have a lot of hours in the car to myself to consider things…and I’ll be in some very historic places. If I have time I want to go to the spot where Lincoln gave the Gettysburg address….I’d like some inspiration.
I’ve been to his box at Ford’s Theatre in DC and the experience literally took my breath away.
Watch for more this weekend. There will be things to reflect on.
Peace
