45 years ago today I was working a rock concert at the Hagerstown Fairgrounds.

There were 5 bands on the show. Atlanta Rhythm Section was the headline act, but Edgar Winter was by far the most talented musician on the stage that day.

The show was promoted by Ritchie Cohen, who I had known and worked with on some shows for a few years. It was a VERY hot day…and probably still ranks as the largest rock show in Hagerstown. Since then I’ve worked on a lot of rock concerts and Edgar still stands out as one of the most talented musicians.
