Wow. She’ll be coming past me late this afternoon! If the weather holds I’ll run the skiff out and watch the parade. Thanks!

Will do, tracking on marine traffic but weather is iffy.

She’s a bit north of me now but the Bay is a mess for a little 21’ skiff. 😢

It was a bit windy on Pier 13 this morning. I kept lowering the camera tripods for fear they were going to blow into the water...and I was in a slightly protected area.

I’m between the Rappahannock and Potomac. 5 minute run to the bay on Tabb’s Creek, just north of Windmill Point.

Gail, you're in a great location. Are you aware of the Baltimore & Chesapeake Bay Ship Watchers Group ? They have a Facebook page, a website and now a new podcast. Their "fearless leader" Mike Singer is the guy who captured the Dali colliding with the Key Bridge on his live stream cam.

So glad this is finally coming to an end, even as I'm amazed by the speed of which the new bridge was constructed.

Looking forward to seeing your images of this!

Hi Lauren, the ship may be gone but the bridge is at least 3-4 years away from what I'm hearing. It's nice to have the Port getting back to as normal as we can, without the bridge for now.

Oops! I misunderstood and thought the bridge was rebuilt, not that the channel was cleared for traffic again. Even so, that's good news.

Thanks for clarifying it for me.

How did it go? Are you happy with what you captured?

That would be a miracle bridge. Had a good morning, beautiful out there. I just finished a 2 minute 30 second edit of the footage that I like a lot. I've shared it to my personal Facebook page "Michael Wicklein" and to the "Baltimore & Chesapeake Bay Ship Watchers" group page. I will share to my Substack tomorrow and to YouTube.
