Thank you Mike. It was interesting to find about what you do in your work life, and an eye opening look into what goes on in a conservative gathering. Betsy de Voss, token black entertainment and all.

Wow!

Sometimes it gets pretty "trippy". One of the best was a GOP event that had Sarah Palin & Newt attending. There was some disagreement going on, surrounding both of them being there. Before the program started...we were all in place...on intercom, when we were told by the director they were coming out together and were just going to walk across the stage and say nothing. It was VERY strange...and no one in the audience understood what was happening. They didn't know if they should clap...earlier Palin had walked past me backstage and I just really wanted to say to her "Ms Dreyfus, I really enjoy you on SNL".

And speaking of one born on third who thinks she hit a triple .... Betsy DeVoss. Like she needs the money, or intends to do something useful with it. 🙄

Also: “In August 2021 New Yorker magazine, Jane Mayer wrote that the Bradley Foundation ‘has become an extraordinary force in persuading mainstream Republicans to support radical challenges to election rules—a tactic once relegated to the far right’ and ‘funds a network of groups that have been stoking fear about election fraud, in some cases for years. Public records show that, since 2012, the foundation has spent some eighteen million dollars supporting eleven conservative groups involved in election issues.’ On the foundation's board of directors is attorney Cleta Mitchell, who joined Donald Trump on his phone call on January 2, 2021, when he pressured Georgia election officials to find more than 11,000 votes to overturn the state's 2020 presidential election results.”

I think you’re right, Mike.

Thanks for the deeper insight. I've never researched their website too far. 70% of what they said from the stage didn't sound too bad. Parents concerned for their kids, declining test scores, inflation concerns, America maintaining it's position as a world leader. It's the final 30 % that raises an eyebrow...and they aren't real overt about most of it. It's one line, like "men in women's sports" or a snide poke at liberals, or acting like victims to a more secular and diverse practice of religion in America, including all of the Eastern belief systems (who badly outnumber our Christian traditions worldwide) and to a reemergence of our own Indigenous cultures belief systems that our white culture tried to extinguish .

They never said "woke"., but you could feel it bubbling just under the surface. The big bomb was "burn down the Dept of Ed"....that was the nuclear moment....and you could feel that EPA was not far behind.
