April 12
start a war day
As HCR pointed out April 12 was “Fire on Ft. Sumter Day” In hindsight not the best move for Jeff Davis, Howell Cobb and the people they “represented” who were trying to create a new nation based on the belief that the white MAN was superior to all…and that black folks as a group were “less than” and by the way God intended it that way. At least the Confederate version of God did.
There are people who will try and debate me about that fact…but they apparently don’t believe the founding documents of the Confederacy or it’s VP’s Cornerstone Speech. If you have not read them, please do. Then we’ll talk.
It’s VERY hard to believe that MTG is advocating for secession. They already blew this once…and killed a lot of people, ruined a lot of property doing it….but they DID free the slaves in just 4 years…and made it possible for black men to extract their revenge with the ability to legally kill every white man in a confederate uniform they could.
So, MJT you might want to consider unintended outcomes when you pick up your bullhorn and scream into it.
I could go on about the KKK and Nazi’s with tiki torches dancing around a metal Bob Lee sitting on Traveler in the moonlight. But I think you get the idea.
Go Tennessee 3…create some good trouble.

Here's a note to my "Start a War" reflection. I was at Gathland during my recent 3 day odyssey and I encountered the "ghost" of Howell Cobb there. His "Legion" had fought on that ground on South Mountain and had to retreat to the valley behind them where they fought at Antietam. Apparently Cobb personally was not present. He was home on leave...but some accounts try to imply he was present. He had been Speaker of the House (US) before taking up arms against the US.
