Heather posted a photo last night taken just after sunset in Maine that is really beautiful…and I took a very similar photo at about the same time at one of my favorite spots at Loch Raven. They both show the edge of night illuminated yet dark with sky reflected in the water. It struck me looking at these photos how magical this world is. Especially in that time/space where day meets night and water meets land.
One of my favorite things to do with a camera is go up to the beach before the sun rises and use the camera low and close to the water and just snap as the waves crash and recede and the light changes. I call it “playing with God”….and it makes me feel VERY alive and connected to the Universe.
Most people miss this time of day. I’m usually out there with a fisherman and someone walking their dog. Join us sometime and try it for yourself…
