A 10 Warthog
Scrap or share
I’ve been in some conversations recently about the A 10 Warthog and whether we should scrap them or share them? I grew up near the Fairchild plant in Hagerstown where they were built.
We saw and heard them on test flights all the time. Now 50 years later some are being scrapped…while a war is going on with an enemy who uses the tanks these planes were designed to kill.
In recent years these planes have been significantly upgraded to be much more effective in destroying enemy weapons, providing close support to troops, communicating across the battlefield and evading enemies.
This is a 3 minute view of it’s upgraded capabilities.
Here’s a 30 minute more detailed view of the upgrades.
I know that we won’t just give them to Ukraine directly. But is it too late to give or loan some to Germany or Poland ????
So keep em flying or send them to the boneyard and museums ?
